The Beatles – ”The Back Seat Of My Car”
With the deluxe release of the remastered Ram last week (which sounds very very nice, by the way), I thought it an opportune time to drop this little tidbit.
Recorded on 14 Jan 1969 at Twickenham, this snippet shows the song in its original state, stripped not only of arrangement, but of extra bridges and codas as well. It becomes even more apparent just how much of a Brian Wilson homage the song really is, a point driven home [npi] by Paul’s over-Americanization of his pronunciation of the word “car.”
